This is NOT a plumbing issue. There are no pipes above my living room where leak is. It's more likely a window or roof issue but how do you determine or detect??

Hi Jeff,

This is Robin K. in Member Care. I'm happy to help!

I'm sorry for the confusion. You may try contacting a roofing company to inspect for a leak. I've found some highly rated roofing companies from the List:

123 Exteriors Inc
2777 Finley Rd
Downers Grove, IL 60515
(630) 517-4771

K&S General Contracting, Inc.
1506 Harvard Ln
Schaumburg, IL 60193
(847) 895-0448

DMX Exterior Group ,Inc
108 Foster Ave
Bensenville, IL 60106
(630) 616-2200

As an Angie's List member, you can find these same results and additional providers by logging into your membership and searching for roofing in the "Search the List" tab.

If you would like information on additional providers through this forum, please let us know. You can respond to this thread or submit a new Answers post. You can also reach us at We're happy to help, Jeff!
