I have a new steel framed 30 foot gate need to add the electric to it for opening and closing

It is framed in steel with 8ft cedar wood slates. I want to make it electric opening and closing now. Searching cost and where I can go to get quotes to have this done. Either myself or hiring someone.

Fencing and Driveway Gates is your Search the List category for a vendor - and unless you are quite competent mechanically, I would NOT recommend trying to do this yourself. They are prone enough to failure and tearing themselves up even when installed by an experienced installer.

Unfortunately, unless this gate was designed to be operated by an electric opener, it might get expensive for you. Course, if it was installed with that in mind, it might just be an hour or two labor to install the opener and controls - plus electrician if needed to run power to it.
