Hi,

This is James W. in Member Care. Thanks for your interest in Angie's List!

While we aren't able to discern if a provider will do this tree removal in exchange for the wood or not, we'll be happy to help find top rated providers from our "Tree Service" category for you to discuss that option with. However, it doesn't look like you have a subscription to the List yet. You can join by visiting www.angieslist.com or by giving us a call. Our call center is available 8:00 am-9:00 pm weekdays and 8:00-5:00 pm ET on Saturdays. If you join online, you can save 20% on an annual plan by using the promo code ANSWERS. Our most popular membership option, our Plus Plan, is just $29.99!

Thanks for your question and we look forward to assisting you!

Highly unlikely that a person who takes wood for free would want to take on a tree-on-roof situation. Also, unless an expert Tree Service (your Search the List category) vendor I would be leery of possible further house damage in the course of the removal, plus would quite possibly not be insured.
