If the same exact house next door adds central air,will it raise or possibly lower my resale value?

I don't see how it can raise your value - could lower it because you do not have air if most other homes in area do, and certainly can lower it if their compresor is located where it is seen or heard from your windows or deck or patio.

The short answer: No.


it may/should slightly raise the value of your neighbors home, but should have little if any effect on yours. However, there may be another changing price factor that your not aware of that could have simultaneously affected any change you saw in your homes value. You'd really have to sit down with someone that has been paying attention to the market activity in your neighborhood... They should know about anything else that May have caused the change.
