Im having a serious problem with sewage smell from neighbors home. How can I eliminate the smell from my house?

My neighbors have sewer backup in their basement and the smell is coming through the walls of my house. Is there a way to eliminate this or seal my walls so the smell wont come through?

No. Any money spent will only be temporary and not address the problem.

If the neighbors are not actively working to have this issue corrected, contact your local building authority and health officials to report the incident.

This is a serious public health issue; not only the fixing of the backup, but the handling & clean-up of the waste must be done to prevent health problems.

Once the problem is solved, ventilating the area (opening windows, fans, etc) to circulate the air will help. But until the problem is solved, you shouldn't waste time and money hiding the effects.

Best of luck to you.
