Question DetailsAsked on 6/10/2012

In Columbus, OH, would it be a handyman I look for to put down vinyl plank flooring (glue-down) or what? Need help!

Vinyl, glue-down plank flooring will be replacing carpet & parquet (which I will attempt to remove myself) but I don't look forward to the vinyl installation process (bad back) & would like to hire someone reliable to do so. Am I in the right area of Angie's List for this type of person? I'm in Columbus, OH.

I would not use a Handyman for this - if you want it to look right and not be a messy job with glue tracked all over and staining the surface and crooked joints, use a flooring installer. In the long run it is far more likely to be a professional job, and because they are doing this all the time their higher labor rate is very likely going to be offset by how much faster they do the job.

Plus, if it is not done right, waht are the chances a handyman is bonded and insured to pay for the work to be done right ?
