There are three things you need to really know about whole house dehumidifiers. They are: its size to meet the space (dehumidification) needs, where to retrofit it into the duct system and where to disperse the condensate. Your air-conditioner is also a dehumidifier. In the cooling months leave the fan setting on at all times; when your air-conditioner cycles off the coil will stay cold for a few minutes longer. You can utilize this to your advantage by continuing to push that air across the coil and dehumidifying it.
