Seems a bit pricey but I don't know the scope of work. For instance, how much sheet metal will need to be fabricated, what part of the country you are located in, unusual install obstacles, etc.

What really peaks my interest is why you would even consider installing an 80% furnace. If you cant get a 90%+ furnace installed with outdoor unit for that price then I would think you are being overcharged.

Have you considered asking for a quote from a Carrier dealer? Their Cool Cash program started March 1st in the south and starts April 1st up north. They have rebates available to you and there may be local utility rebates also. And, I think there is a Federal Tax Credit available for qualifying equipment.

Don't buy the Infinity line unless you want to pay for supreme comfort. The price might shock you. But the Performance series is the way to go for most homeowners.Look for a dealer on the Carrier website via the Dealer Locator. Search for all dealers instead of just the featured dealers from the pull down menu.
