This probably isn't the answer you're looking for, but:
If you are older than 35 you should have a full doctor's clearance before weight loss
Weight loss remains (depressingly) still the same old equation; calorie counting and reduction and exercise. Exercise should be the primary component. I know as Americans we want something to 'fix it' but there is no way around the age old dynamics of calories in-calories out.
