Just got the cards in the mail. Says no charge, but is there a hidden charge or is someone trying to get info from me?

Some have a hidden fee, some say they are free but require credit card info for "verification" ofr signup and then start charging your card monthly, some are set up so a fee is taken out at time of sale (which you will not see as they only show you the total cost to you) - and most are useless unless you are uninsured because pretty much all insurance companies require that pharmacies give them their contracted price - even though it might be more than you would pay with the card.

And of course you give them name, address, DOB, SSN etc to sign up - which info then goes to who knows where. Some of these discount cards arer actually owned / issued by companies whose primary business is selling personal information.

I would say unless you requested these assume they are no good for you and may harm you.

Here are links to some previous similar questions with answers, and a couple of news articles on this subject about similar companies - many of them change names frequently to stay ahead of the law.
