Question DetailsAsked on 9/9/2015

Is HomeServe a reputable company

I received an offer for Water Line coverage from Main to my shutoff in house from HomeServe through AARP, for 5.49 a month. Has anyone heard anything positive or negative on this?

Understand that any Home Warranty Company must make a profit. They have the added administrative costs of paying and being middle man to their contractors, as opposed to you hiring your own.

They are all likely to hire the lowest cost providers, not the best and fastest.

Be sure to read the entire ageement, things that are not covered, etc. before you think about buying.

Bottom line, if you save that money every mot, you will come out ahead in the long run.

Now if we were talking about a service agreement, directly with a local plumber, etc., it's a different story, just be sure they are a good company.
