Is a defective schrader valve on ac unit covered by warranty?

HVAC technicain said schrader valve was bad/broken when he was checking the pressure level of the AC unit. Which required replacement and 7 lbs of puron. If system is still under warranty and this was said to be a bad/broken part, wouldn't this be covered by warranty?

You need to check your specific warranty that came with the unit - generally, the exchanger, compressor, and everything else have different warranty periods, so you need to check the detailed wording.

Also, check the fine print - normally, the warranties (at least more than 1 yer out) do NOT cover the replacement of lost gases.
