Question DetailsAsked on 3/19/2015

Is remodeling a bathroom using bead board instead of tile significantly cheaper?

For existing bathroom, the tub area needs to have the sheetrock/tile replaced, but that cannot be done without wrecking the adjacent tile. I'm curious if redoing the bathroom using 1/2 wall bead board for the walls (excluding tub area) might bring the cost down significantly.

Thank you.
