Question DetailsAsked on 4/20/2012

Is there any teeth whitening that works on tetra cycline stains besides veneers or bonding

I have had tetra cycline stains since I was five and took an antibiotic for tonsilitus. I am now 46 and my teeth are a grayish yellow, the bottom teeth sort of resemble candy corn but with more of a burnt orange and yellow. My top teeth are lighter more of a light gray. I cannot afford veneers and I have no health or dental insurance, so I will be paying out of pocket. But I cannot afford much. Please help me I am so tired of people making fun of me and there hurtful omments.

There are no chemicals that can whiten tetra cyline stains. Veneers, Crowns and bonding are your only choices. Although pricey, with proper care porcelain never changes color and can last the rest of your life.
