It has been my pleasure helping people by answering questions on here.

If my account and answers are going to be deleted every so often we are all wasting our time. Best of luck to those needing assistance as it seems uncertain whether our answers will remain here long enough for you to read them and I have gotten no response from Angie's List for this apparent problem. All of a sudden I have a brand new user name and account with my sign in information and no points. That was not the main goal of answering questions but it is a slap in the face and a waste of time since my other answers seem to have disappeared with the "old" account.

Correction: Most of my answers are there except for recent ones after I dug around a bit but the username is not recognized in the system when I click on it. I'm not going to go through the mess of creating a new profile.

Hey Todd,
I have had similar problems, answering questions and my answers not being there. When I was first invited to angies answers I would notice every month my answers would disappear. I understand your frustration, but if people like us don't answer questions these members are going to be left taking "Joe-bag-A-donuts" the contractors word for their building advice. Even if my answers don't stay up longer then a month I will still send in answers. I went through the same thing. Thats why I didn't leave answers for six months, but I figure we still need to make the effort for the members.

You're absolutley right that we are providing a valuable service. It just seems like a waste if one of us spends the time to respond to several questions and an hour later the answers are gone. Also, the questions and answers given can help others besides just the person asking but only if they are available. It's just very frustrating. I'll probably still answer some questions but I won't take the time to log in every day as I had before for what feels like wasted time. Best wishes to my fellow Experts.

I am so sorry for all the trouble and frustration you're experiencing. I'm not sure why, exactly, the answers are deleted or don't appear as they should. In the past, your account was flagged as spam for one reason or another and it would hide your posts until I could get in to moderate them. That doesn't appear to be the only issue, and I'm having the company who built the Answers platform look into it. I understand your frustration and I'm doing everything I can to rectify the situation. I--and everyone at Angie's List--appreciate the countless hours you all have spent participating and sharing your knowledge and would never do anything to jeopardize that.
