Question DetailsAsked on 7/25/2013

Looking for a reasonable rate for someone to tear down a 1 story 24 X 52 home.

We are looking to tear down the home my husband grew up in to have a double wide mobile home put in its place. If Possible we would like someone who can check for the asbestos and removal of it if any is found. Also clean up and removal as home is coming down, also leveling of lot.

If I were you I would suggest looking for a demolition contractor, ensuring that the asbestos abatement is properly done if needed. If he cannot do it himself, he should be able to get a subcontractor to handle thelot levelling, as needed.

Be sure to check your zoning codes - putting a mobile home in place of a house would not be legal in most jurisdictions with zoning - generally not if left as an above-ground mobile home, commonly even if put on a permanent foundation.
