Question DetailsAsked on 10/16/2019

MY HOA authorized the use of my spigot to power wash my town home

I pay the water bill 100%. During the power washing my pipe burst that caused a flood in mine and my neighbors units causing water damage to our drywall and floors. Now the HOA is saying we need to contact our insurance and have them pay for the restoration of the flooring. I feel like this is the responsibility of the HOA and the company that used our faucet. Why should I or my neighbor be subject to a $500-1000 deductible and have to use our insurance for a problem the HOA caused.
