Question DetailsAsked on 9/14/2012

My honda crx brakes go all the way to the ground what could it be?

When the car is off they pump fine but when the car is on it goes straight to the floor but comes back up right. The fluid was just changed.

Most likely problem is air in the lines. Check the system to see if the fluid is low. If it is, add fluid and have the system checked for leaks. If not, then your Master Cylinder is probably bad. One last possibility is the power booster is bad. That option is most expensive and you need a good mechanic to check it out.

Check the brake system for residual air - bleed as necessary to restore the brake pedal. It may also be related to; faulty brake master cylinder, or faulty brake slave cylinder.
