Countertops would be your best contractor Search the List category for this - a Handyman would probably charge a lot less, but the chance of damage to seat or adjacent wall, crooked cut, chipping or cracking, etc goes way up because few handymen have any experience cutting stone - nor do many have anywhere the right equipment to do it. Far from all have the equipment to do it in-place, especially if this goes right up against the wall - but might be it can be released from its mounting and cut off as a free piece, then reassembled too - he would have to see what he can do when he gets started.

Brings back images of the aftermath of one handyman job I saw like this - handyman tried to cut off a solid stone hearth with a gasoline powered cutoff saw (the type firemen use to cut into vehicles at crash scenes)- he cut through the stone all right - and well into the wall, through baseboard heating pipe, and two electrical circuits, setting fire to the wall. Better to get an experienced person for this.
