Question DetailsAsked on 1/18/2012

Need help finding a Dentist in/near Lancaster, PA who knows physical health affects dental health & knows how to deal w/it.(Crohn's Disease

My Crohn's Disease prevents me from absorbing enough nutrients and some of the treatments have also contributed to tooth decay.
Until this past year or so, my dentist (of 10 years) has not been very interested in this connection, but now that I have lost the majority of my teeth (most in 2011, bottom denture, upper spaces), he is suddenly blaming ALL my teeth problems on my Crohn's - including the "inevitability" of losing the remainder of my teeth. I am not ready to give up and just accept a FULL set of dentures at age 48. Plus, my diet is already restricted by my [physical] health, now the denture is preventing me from eating much of anything else (for 5 mos. now).
I need a dentist who will see me and treat me like a WHOLE person. The mouth/teeth are the first stage in digestion and I suffer from a digestive disease. Hello? Is there a dentist out there who gets that?? Is there one near me who can help me out?

Hoping and praying and thankful for any advice. -D.

@Cas: Thank you for taking the time to answer and for the clarification. The first thing I did was join Angie's list and investigate dentists, but because my interest is so specific, it's difficult to find the information I really need. My dentist has been such a sweet and caring professional and I would have recommended him to any and everyone --but not now that my dental needs have escalated to such a degree.
