Hauling is the Search the List category for you (junk haulers, who typically also do in-house moving of heavy items). Moving companies of course handle the moving part but not junk removal, and generally cost a good bit more.

If the items being disposed of are usable, rather than pay them to haul off as trash you could have them put them in a protected spot (under overhang under a tarp or in garage) and then have Salvation Army, Goodwill, or such come and get them for reuse. A few of thse type groups will haul them out of your house if usable, but generally due to liabilitiy issues they now do not do that.

Your Haulers could haul them mto the Salvation Army or such (and also get a deductible donation out of that) - might be cheaper than disposal, maybe not. If you do that, unless you go with them, give them a stamped self addressed envelope to mail the donation receipt back to you so they con't have to come back to your house (more cost) to get it to you.

Hi,

This is James W. in Member Care. I'm happy to help!

I was able to find several rated providers to help with your moving and hauling request. For your current need though, our Snapfix specialists would also be able to do all of the dialing for you, match you up with a top rated company and arrange to have them call you to figure out the logistics. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please fill out the form in the link below and our Snapfix Team will take it from there! Hopefully they can locate a hauling service who will do the furniture moving job for you, as well as the hauling job, so that you don't have to hire two separate providers.

If you would like to reach out to these providers yourself, please let me know. I’d be happy to send these to you. You can respond to this thread or submit a new Answers post. You can also reach us at memberservices@angieslist.com. We're happy to help!
