Need to purchase bath lifter fo 95-year old Mom. Any suggestions? Tried Sterling bath lifter but only lasted 3 years

Sterling bath lifter purchased in 2009. Worked great for 2 years. Charger died. Hasn't worked since. Replacement units cost $100 and don't hold charge OR motor on unit is defective...not sure which. Sterling units cost $469 (cheapest). Bellavita lifter costs $565. Considerable outlay. Suggestions/experience would be helpful.

Dear Desperate Daughter, Here's a blog with reviews and pricing for bath lifts: http://www.seniors-staying-home.com/Senior_Products/Bath_Lift/bath-lift-compari
son.html
Scroll all the way to the bottom for the blogger's recommendation of a best buy. By all means use Angie's List to check with suppliers in your area. The prices seem to vary significantly for the same lift, depending on where you make your purchase.

Another price factor is whether the "chair" reclines or not.
