Call or web check first to see what the requirements are regarding paper clips, pendaflax hanging folders, etc - most require you remove the pendaflex bars and the fold-oer metal-bar type folders, and some cannot handle paper clips, or only the small ones. Some can handle the small metal tabs in 3 tab folders. All require binder clips and 3-ring binders be removed.

There are documents shredding companies that will come to your door with a truck-mounted shredder and do this - and if you are really security conscious, you can keep the bags of chips and dispose of them yourself if you want.

Usually listed under shredding, but sometimes under Security.

For small amounts (usually $150+ for a visit) a lot of package and office supply stores like Kinkos and Office Max have shredding services also, as do many document storage and archive facilities.
