Question DetailsAsked on 6/29/2015

Plumber replaced corroded cast iron waste pipe with both cast iron and plastic pipe, is this normal for CT code?

The replaced section of the line required 3in. of concrete foundation to be removed and he has two cast iron pieces, one connects to the line that leads to the septic and the other connects to the waste line from the house both of these are connected by a piece of plastic pipe. It just seems strange to me to have two very heavy pieces of cast iron being supported/connected with a piece of plastic.
