Portable type flooring outdoor

Would like to find removal flooring outdoor to lay down and then remove for a wheelchair - - Tough pushing chair over the grass. Would need something about 20 ft and of course wide for a wheelchair. The grass slants just a bit but not dangerous. Also would like it to walk on to get to a car - It is a short distance but with health problems it can be dangerous walking in grass. Need flat surface. Need something which would store easily and not heavy and possibly roll up or something.

Sorry - I can't think of anything that would be hard enough to easily roll a wheelchair on and also be light enough to easily pick up and move around. Even something like industrial rubber conveyor belting would weigh well over 100 pounds for a 20' length, as would more traditional ramps and temporary support materials. Any sort of panel solution like fiberglass grating would mean serious bending and lifting to move, would need a transition at both ends as it is a couple of iunches thick, and would require clips or fasteners at edge connecting edge to prevent tipping when rolled on, so that does not help either.

Sounds like your best bet may be a permanently installed fix -

1) concrete or paver walk to replace the grass for that walk section

2) metal grid decking embedded in lawn - but would not allow wearing any type of heels as they would sink into the grass in the openings

There are some mats made for wheelchair access over grass and sand, but whether they would be light enough for your use or convenient you would have to decide for yourself - google this search phrase and you will find articles and listings for several products and ADA accessibility articles on the subject - handicap surface for grass for wheelchair use

I forgot to include some brandnames for you to google for pathway mats, from the ADA access section in Thomas Registers -

Pathmat, Beachmat for temporary rollout type matting, and Mobimat, GrassPavers and Grasspave for permanent grass grow-through grid to support wheeled access.
