Radon mitigation questions

How important is radon mitigation in the home?, What is the average price range to get it done (central Ohio)? Finally, is there a DIY solution that will at least help lower radon levels? Thanks.

some thoughts. Danger, I think is over played. Am assuming you have tested home? Some ideas, Buy outside venting hot water heater, buy high efficiency furnace, seal top of sump pump, & go into attic and airseal below the insulation. I will write a blog on same.

Very Important. It is one of the leading causes of lung cancer!

Anything above 4.0 pCi/L is "actionable" but my house tested at 3.9 and we mitigated to .1...why risk it over $1500
