Replace toilet

we would like a taller toilet in a small restroom. is this possiable?

Yes - they make taller toilets specifically for elderly or handicapped persons so they do not have to stoop over so far to sit down. A usual plain toilet usually runs $200-$300 purchase cost, a "tall" toilet around $500-700. Installation cost the same for either - probably a couple of hours labor at $200-400, depending on your local prices.

They also make removeable boosters or elevated toilet seats for about $40-50 that effectively raise the height - sort of a booster seat toilet seat. However, these are not as stable as an toilet by itself, so if the desire for a taller toilet is based on user's disability or infirmity, you might check with their doctor for recommendations.

Both can be obtained through plumbers, plumbing / home supply stores, and some larger box stores.
