Spreadsheet to track remodeling costs?

Does anyone have a good system they use to track remodeling costs? Projected and actual. I remember using a spreadsheet when I worked for a builder but can't remember how it was laid out. Maybe you can cut and paste a sample?

Well I use a simple spreadsheet to track my business costs, (remodeling business) I have a fair profit of 35%, It calculates the direct cost, and the indirect costs, direct costs are materials, gas to the job, and labor. Indirect costs are, printer paper for the estimate, ink used, phone use, lunch, tool repair, etc. All these costs are then figured in, plus a 35% profit. I compare this with my actual estimate, and it lets me know if I'm on track or not, by calculating my GPM (Gros Profit Margin) All the figures have to be inputed by me. But I would be happy to email you the actual spredsheet, just email me at
