We talked to a highly-rated company, and to get the best results you should find a professional who has had experience with stucco. It can be tricky to apply – if the stucco is too thick it can crack. You want to spread it out fairly thin but so that you still have the stucco look. The stucco can be applied first and after letting it dry, 2 coats of paint should cover it. Also, its important to note that the grittier the texture paint is, the worse it soaks up the paint. Hope that helps!
