Question DetailsAsked on 11/2/2019

The plug on my old Shark steam mop gets quite hot no matter what outlet it's in. Is it safe to continue using it?

I've had the steam mop a long time, and I don't recall that it used to do that. I didn't use it for several years, but I use it more regularly now. The plug is almost too hot to touch when removing it from an outlet. Can I get it fixed or do I have to replace the steam mop? Is it safe to continue using it?

Don't use it. The wire in the plug is frayed / loose / coroded. Get the plug / cord replaced.
