Question DetailsAsked on 10/19/2014

The temperature in my refrigerator is fine, but the temperature in my freezer isn't cold enough.

My Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator is 7 years old. The temperature in the refrigerator is fine, but the temperature in the freezer isn't cold enough to freeze anything. Just a couple days ago, I had to have the compressor replaced (yes, I know they say a refrigerator should be replaced if the compressor goes bad, but I checked around and the cost of a new fridge in my area was practically double the cost of getting a new compressor installed, and since money is really tight for me right now, I had to take the least expensive option). So I'm assuming that the compressor is working fine now, since the refrigerator is actually working. But yesterday, I put food in the freezer and it hasn't frozen! I also put in ice trays filled with water and although the water got cold, it hasn't frozen. What's wrong? This is completely stressing me out!
