.019, .021, .025, .032 inch are the commonly available coil metal thicknesses that the gutters are made of. There is also 0.050" thick pre-made gutters (not seamless) available in lengths of 20 and 32 feet, but special order in most areas.

The 0.019 is called "tin can" metal - about as flexible as an aluminum beer or soda can side, VERY flimsy. The 0.021/.025 is not a whole lot better - easily creased or dented or bulged by ice in the gutters. For the relatively nominal added cost, I would go with the 0.032" or nothing - or the 0.050 premade strip gutter.

Not that I am recommending aluminum mind you - I recommend Genova RainGo vinyl gutters in freezing areas, or if you want metal (better in extreme sun /hot exposure areas which break down plastic faster) I recommend steel - or stainless or copper for longer life and fancier looks, but quite substantially higher cost.
