Water leak bottom interior bathroom door frame cause

We have a two story house. We are not sure where the leak is but the interior bathroom door frame is damaged from water leakage on the first floor. When we go into the basement there is a small drip coming down but not from any pipes that we see under the bathroom that are from the sink, toilet, bathtub. The leak is away from any pipes about two feet. We don’t think it’s from the roof as it hasn’t rained for awhile. There is no water damage to the bathroom tiles or walls next to the bath, toilet, or sink. The water damage is at the bottom of the interior bathroom door frame. There is no damage to the ceilings just the bottom of the interior door frame and the wall right next to the frame. What could be the cause?
