House Cleaning is the Angies List Search the List category to find well-rated and reviewed house cleaners.

You can find previous questions about typical costs in the Home > Housecleaning link under Browse Projects, at lower left.

Couple of recommendtions - negotiate a per-cleaning cost (typically higher for initial cleaning) not an hourly rate - that is an invitation to sloughing off on the job, watching TV or spending time on their cell phone on your time, etc.

Also - unless you want to get into keeping employer records and tax withholding and worker's compensation insurance and such, do not pay a "salary" (though since you are talking hourly payment it would be called a wage, not a salary - but you generally, for sporadic cleaning as opposed to daily service, want an independent contractor (licensed and bonded and insured) so you are not responsible for all those hassles and are also covered by their bonding and insurance.
