We live in San Antonio and are remodeling a home. We want to use QUARTZITE countertops. Where can I find these?????

I have been unable to locate any suppliers in San Antonio for Quartzite. How does one go about getting them?

It depends on what you meen by the term Quartzite. The true meening of this word is a stone similar to granite but composed of quartz crystals for this you might check stone countestop fabricators. Many articles published and kitchen showroom sales people use the term to refer to man mad stone counters made of crushed stone and epoxy binders and there are many different brands out there. To my knowledge there is no brand called Quartzite but I could be wrong. Gibraltar, Silestone and an Eco friendly Cosentino Eco made from 75% recycled material just to name a few. The have gotten so realistic that I have a hard time telling if they are real. I would think San Antonio is a big enough market you should be able to find just about all the choices. You have to look to a stone fabricator most often for tops made of granite, marble, soapstone and such. The others generally are tied to one or two brands as distributors. You may find some that work on both manmade and natural stones though.
