What can I do with a wall phone jack that I do not need anymore? Can it be changed to an electrical outlet?

I have a phone jack on my kitchen wall and want to remove it. Looking for options to remove or replace with something more beneficial.

Converting to and outlet requires line voltage wiring to be run to the location, maybe from another electric outlet, or from the breaker box,so may not be easy.


It can be removed and drywalled and finished over, no need to remove the phone wiring, we did that when remodelin, a hard wired phones are mostly obsolete! I missed one on the veranda, and it still bothers me,just to see it.
