What is avg labor cost to paint interior halls/stairwells of 3 story condo bldg? All prep work is already done.

Building also has a 3 story entryway. Paint and materials already purchased. Just need labor cost.

It depends, how long are the hall ways would be one factor twenty feet or one hundred feet? does it need primer? how many coats ?the only way to figure this answer is to get two or three quotes from qualified professionals in your area. Also labor rates varry from state to state as do insurance costs.

You can find typical painting costs in the Home > Painting link - though those are usually complete. Materials is typically about 15-30% of total paint job cost, so probably around $1/SF labor per coat for a blow-and-go job, $2-3/SF for a fully professional job with detail and care.


Hope you paid attention to the paint type - fire exit areas (especially stairwells) require rated paints - many comon paints are NOT allowed for those uses in public buildings, which yours would be considered to be.
