You want the complete list or start a heated debate? Opinions will go back and forth on this subject and could possibly lead to another world war.

Simple answer for the real world.... Synthetic last longer than standard motor oil, meaning you can go longer between oil changes.

If you change your motor oil every 3,000 miles now, you can go 7,000 miles with synthetic. Check your owner’s manual; chances are they recommend 5,000 miles between changes with conventional oil anyway.

If you owner’s manual calls for synthetic, then you must use synthetic. If your vehicle calls for conventional, then you can use synthetic or regular. You can even switch back and forth if you wish.

Bottom line is comparing the price vs. mileage between oil changes. If you can save money over the long haul, then switch to synthetic. Although some folks swear that synthetic protects better and only use synthetic.

Not much of an answer, but a molecular comparison will take pages.
