Click on the Home > Electrical link right under your question - you will find a number of recent answers to that question, both straight replacements to capacity upgrades to capacity upgrades with emergency generator installations.

Ballpark number, for same-size, normal house with currently code-legal wiring, about $800-1500, depending largely on whether the original electrician left enough slack wire to allow rewiring without having to add wire. This assumes installation of AFCI/GFCI breakers in all circuits will be required by code - is in most areas.
Straight-forward replacement without other issues commonly comes in just around $1000.
