Question DetailsAsked on 2/29/2016

What would the cost be to enlarge an existing pool when we update the liner? And adding a hot tub?

The pool is concrete but has a liner. We would like to enlarge pool and add a hot tub as well as change liner to gunite.

You would have to talk to Pool and Spa contractors (your Search the List category) about your specific desires, but certainly any pool expansion and rehab is going to cost thousands, and ditto to a spa of any size, especailly if in-ground as part of the pool expansion.

BTW - gunite is a prime construction material, not a liner - if you want to resurface the concrete pool you can use paints (epoxy far better than acrylic or rubber types), of course a vinyl insert liner like it sounds like you have, tile, ground and polished concrete, or plaster lining. The latter might be what you are thinking of, but not a good choice if the pool ever gets drawn down, because its bond to the concrete is not the greatest, so when you draw the pool down the water caught at the interface between the plasster and concrete can cause failure of the lining and make it spall off - especially if the pool is drained in hours rather than days.
