First check your model - over time the springs grow weaker so the pressure it actually turns out at a given setting will change. Many models have a pressure adjusting screw on the top which can be gradually adjusted bit by bit to adjust the pressure - some go clockwise to lower the pressure, some counterclockwise so you will have to experiment 1/8 or 1/4 turn at a time. Note, if reducing pressure, for the change to take effect you need to run a bit of water downstream of the regulator to dissipate the existing high pressure in the lines before the line pressure will show the change.
