Question DetailsAsked on 2/25/2014

What is the best way to determine the square footage of the exterior siding of my house for painting?

I have a 2 story house with 2950sq feet inside living space. It has a walkout basement in the back(so the back is 3 stories), brick on the front and hardiplank on the other 3 side. The windows and window trims do not need painting(windows are vinyl and the window trim is wrapped in aluminum) . I would like to know what the square footage is for painting so when I get a quote I am being quoted approximately the right amount.

It is a pretty straightforward process as long as you keep good notes and are organized.
