Question DetailsAsked on 7/11/2014

What fees should I expect when buying a used car at a dealership?

Andy Mohr Toyota has added the following:
"Theft Deterrent" ($299), which Herman explains is to transfer the serial number on the vehicle. This is taxed at 7%.
"Title fee" ($40), which I expected, but he says the overcharge (Indiana title is $15) is not reimbursed.
"Dock fee" ($199), Herman explains is the processing fee charged by the dealer that includes the temporary license plate and "certified mail" (for whatever). This is also taxed at 7%.
