Question DetailsAsked on 8/6/2013

What can you do about flattened down Leather Sofa Cushions? Who repairs them?

The leather cushions of our sofa and loveseat set are flattened down when we sit on them. The furniture is still in good shape, just the cushions are flattened. We don't want to buy new furniture yet. We'd like to know what options there are to maybe get these cushions repaired, renewed...?
Any assistance or advice would be appreciated.

First, check there are not zippers or a velcro opening on the back edges of the cushions - if there are, then you can buy replacement foam sheet material from 1/4 to about 6" thick at fabric stores like JoAnns and at a lot of box stores like Fred Meyer and WalMart.

If no zippers or velcro, then an upholsterer is who you need - they can open up the back seam, replace the stuffing or foam, and resew it. Most furniture repair shops have an upholsterer on staff, and there are also contractors who do nothing by reupholstery.
