Good sources of names to check in your area:

www.ati-net.com (Alexander Technique International)

www.amsatonline.org (American Society for the Alexander Technique)

An excellent website on AT in general: www.alexandertechnique.com (and many teachers list there too)

AT may not be an Angieslist strong suit, as it's a niche category. I'm an AT (and voice) teacher in the Needham, MA area and can give you feedback on folks I know, but you may find a Google search helpful. Also ask for references from students when you contact a teacher. Depending on where you live, you may be able to take a single lesson and see how you hit it off and move onto another teacher if you're not thrilled. Although the principles of the Technique remain the same, every teacher is different and it's important that you feel comfortable with yours as you bravely challenge your habits of use and movement.

Welcome to the study of the Technique - best of luck!
