The cartridge and cartridge housing are each about $15-25 retail (so he might charge up to $50 or so) depending on whether you need just the replacement cartridge insert or the housing also. Labor for the cartridge would be about 10-15 minutes - so minimum service charge of typically $75-150. Not at all a tough DIY job (see their website for instructions and videos) assuming you know where your water service shutoff is.

If the valve housing has eroded or cracked, then depends on accessibility - whether there is back access or a large coverplate around the faucet that can be removed to provide access to do the piping connections or not - if so cost probably about the same to maybe $50 or so more. If has to cut through a backwall or tile or surround to get enough working room then likely more like $250 labor range - plus possibly (if a decorative cover plate cannot cover it up) some surround or wall repair cost by another vendor.
