When I purchase a "Deal" through Angie's list, is the service provider allowed to add a credit carde service charge

I purchased a Big Deal from New Caney movers. Their "small fuel charge" is going to be $50 for moving my furniture four miles, and they state that a 3.6% service charge will be added to amounts paid by credit card.

I have recently inquired with a credit card service company and was told that the Credit Card PROVIDER would likely FROWN Upon and be Greatly displeased with a Company adding an additional charge to a C.C. Charge unless the C.C. provider approved such additional charges , and upon hearing of such actions would probably REVOKE the companies ability to accept future C.C. usage . I was advised that I should contact the Card Provider and report the activity . I was not aware that Angies List allowed extra charges to be added to Big DeaL purchases except in the case of added work or for materials supplied.

$ 50.00 and an additional 3.6% sounds considerably high for 4 miles !

I would contact the SCC of the state you are in and inguire whether it is acceptable ???
