Choose between different insurance comapnies based on reputation, then choose one to apply to. Some insurance companies are starting to put some limits on older homes, or higher rates if piping or roof has not been redone after 25 or 30 years, and so forth, but I have not heard of any particular difficulty in insuring older homes per se. After all, many, many towns and cities have millions on houses in the centuries old that are insured.
