Answering your question is similar to which is better Ford or Chevy. Both companies make quality products. More importantly is that you choose a door in the upper quality bracket from whichever company. Almost all of the manufacturers have multiple lines, from a stripped down budget door to an upscale fiberglass that is stained different colors inside and out. Unless you are just fixing it up to sell for appearance, invest in one of the upper lines. You will ultimately be much happier with the performance over time.
The upper end models, normally have thicker material, (whether it is steel or fiberglass) this will make the door stronger.
Try to get a composite/fiberglass frame to stop rotting.
And don't skimp on the hardware, it is what you touch each and every time the door is opened. The cheap hardware is well cheap for a reason. Sometimes it will start to delaminate in a year or less.
Hope this helps.
