Which is better: plastic or chrome drain pipes for my bathroom sink?

I am replacing my sink, and I want to know which material is better for a drain pipe: chrome or plastic?

Plastic is becuase it won't "rot" from the cleaners, tooth whitners, toothpaste, etc you send down your drain plus if your water is is caustic, then you don't have to worry about damaging your drain. YOu can go to many home improvement stores and get all the parts. I suggest getting the trap that has the little drain plug---easier to get hair out. I have seen some nasty breakdowns with chrome and nickel but never with plastic.
